AptCover ("we") runs aptcover.com. This policy explains what information is collected when you use the site.

What we collect

  • Server logs. Like most websites, our web server records basic technical information for each request: IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time. We use these logs to keep the site running and secure, and delete them on a rolling basis.
  • Email you send us. If you contact us, we keep your message and email address to reply. We don't add you to any mailing list.
  • Display preference. If you switch between light and dark mode, the choice is saved in your own browser's local storage. It never leaves your device.

We don't run accounts, forms that collect personal details, or advertising trackers. If we add analytics in the future, we'll update this page first.

Affiliate links

When you click an affiliate link, you leave AptCover for the partner's website. The link carries a code that tells the partner the visit came from us (and which of our pages it came from), so they can pay a commission if you buy. The partner and its tracking provider may set their own cookies; their privacy policies apply on their sites.

Sharing

We don't sell or rent personal information. We share information only if required by law.

Children

AptCover is meant for adults shopping for insurance and isn't directed at children under 13.
