AptCover is free to read. We pay for it through affiliate links: if you click a link to an insurance company and buy a policy, that company may pay us a commission. You pay the same price whether or not you use our link.

Who we work with

We currently have an affiliate relationship with Lemonade. Buttons and links that take you to Lemonade's website to get a quote are affiliate links. They are marked as sponsored in the page code, and each page that has them says so near the top.

What this does and doesn't change

  • It doesn't change the facts. Costs, laws and coverage rules come from cited sources, not from partners.
  • It doesn't change what we tell you isn't covered. Flood, earthquake and other exclusions are explained on every relevant page, whoever you buy from.
  • Where Lemonade doesn't sell renters insurance, we say so and don't show a Lemonade button.
  • Partners don't review or approve our content before it's published.
